This company as an organization is a new in international project arena. This project is perfect opportunity to share our findings with partners and related units of the project; we are establishing relationships with partners from other countries, expanding our knowledge and sharing our own findings with others.
STPKC. This organization is currently involved in several initiated in the LLIS region that come close to this project focus. It is quite beneficial both for this project and to the other initiatives to have cross-breeding effects.
AD IT MĀCĪBU CENTRS. As our institution has no experience in any projects, we are getting information, experience and knowledge from other adult educational organisations and institutions with the help of this project.
AIZKRAUKLE REGIONAL ADULT EDUCATION AND INNOVATION ASSISTANCE CENTRE. We do not have a good system, how to search the adult education needs, how to support people stay in countryside, but motivate to be involved in labour market at the same time. Educational and Social Quality of human resources is becoming more important. Skills of old generation (and traditions) have not been given to young people. Salvation of these problems requires more partnership and gaining knowledge, sharing experience with other partners and countries. So with this project we are getting a chance to improve our service.
SDCC. We are interested in this partnership because we believe that the adult learning in peripheral areas is not sufficient. SDCC is a young organization, so it is important for us to get more experience in this field. By developing this network we are receiving more opportunities to be heard and to broaden the scope of information, contacts, and areas of influence.
FIRMA ED. Our company is working only for one year yet and the planned activities within the project are helping to identify the needs and expectations of the local target groups, some of them being under the risk of the social exclusion, like women in the pre-retirement age, pensioners, unemployed, etc. Results of the research will be very useful also for the Adult Education Centre – the only educational institution in the district offering mainly the formal education for adults. Bauska and the district is a peripheral area where there are no offered different ways of lifelong education opportunities and the company is interested in promotion of social and cultural lifelong education for adults and seniors. Participation in the international project is an excellent experience and exchange of thoughts, good practices and ideas.
VIFIN. Integration of all immigrants – refugees, those who come under the family reunification program, foreign workers – is VIFIN’s core mission. The centre continuously develops effective ways of helping integrate migrants in all aspects of Danish life, both social and work-related. At present, it’s centrepiece program focuses on mobile-based learning of Danish as a Second Language, and of the Danish social and work culture. Today, the Centre faces the challenge of addressing the issues around the new phenomenon of increased mobility of workers from the old Eastern European countries to developed countries, including Denmark. The project is therefore helping the centre understand the issues better, learn from the experiences of Nordic countries addressing similar issues and interacting with partners where the new economic migrants come from. This should give better understanding of their culture and therefore help the Centre in developing learning materials suited for them. Moreover, the project will enable VIFIN develop tools and methods, to more effectively help local companies who are hiring foreign workers from the Baltic countries by identifying migrants’ language needs and the level of knowledge required for foreign workers to be efficient at the workplace, and identify cultural difference and similarities between Denmark and the country of origin. Finally, the project can provide a wealth of information materials that can be used in further developing learning materials for its www.dansk.nu learning platform.
VOPRO. We have experienced that working in a regional adult educators network improves us in many fields and we think that we could go a bit further in using networks by participating in a Nordic and Baltic network for adult educator’s trough the Nordplus programme. We are focusing mainly in the field of adult education for immigrants / second language and social studies tuition.
